Yorktowne...Since 1967

Inspired design from original crocks and jugs reminiscent of early salt-glaze techniques. Yorktowne is a classic pattern in basic shapes and smaller sized plate and bowls still original to the year of introduction.

Early Pottery production in the 1870's made by Henry B. Pfaltzgraff depicts a variation of single and weeping flowers in a bold brushed cobalt blue.

Nice Size Bowls

"I was hoping this would match some bowls I bought at a flea market two years ago. Those bowls had no code on the bottom or anything to identify them, and I have never seen them on the Pfaltzgraff site that I can recall. Measurements don't seem to be of help. I have looked on eBay, and I knew when I ordered these that they probably weren't the same; but I hoped they would be. Alas, such was not to be. However, the new soup cereal bowls are a nice size and will be used. I have had the Yorktowne pattern since 1977. I've seen pieces come and go, but I hope the super soup cereal stays around for a long time."

"This was a replacement piece. I was quite accurate with my measurements and it appears that this bowl is ever so slightly smaller than a previous version. Doesn’t impact volume the bowl can hold though."

I ordered these bowls plus

"I ordered these bowls plus some soup bowls and pasta bowls in the Yorktowne. Unfortunately, the soup and pasta bowls do not match my set. I started collecting the Yorktowne pattern in 1971. I have service for 10 with extra plates. I broke one of the pasta bowls so I thought I would order more. Unfortunately, the bowls are bigger and do not match. i tried the soup bowls thinking maybe these would work, but they are too small. I will these regardless."

Not the same size!

"I purchased one of these to replace one that got broken from a set purchased a few years ago. The new one is smaller than the original ones. Why would you change the size and call it the same thing??? Shameful!!!"
