"I started with the smaller plates or salad plates in the Rio design because they are a periwinkle blue in the center and are so pretty. After using them, I decided I needed it the larger plates with only stripes around the rim. The set looks mixed and matched, and that was the effect I wanted."

Buyer's Remorse. . .
"After I purchased a set of 4, I realized the stoneware was not that attractive because there seemed to be no glaze on the set meaning the stoneware seemed rough or unfinished to the touch. Other stoneware I own, has a glaze which makes the stoneware shine and are more pleasing to touch. Ended up giving the set away. Sorry I purchased them."

Beautiful but came broken
"The plates are really pretty. I’m only giving 4 stars because when they were shipped the first time 6 out of 8 plates were broken. There was no fragile sticker or any sort of padding to protect them while being shipped. I had ordered a few other things also that came in a very big box with a lot of padding. Unfortunately quite a few things in there came broken too and I’m now waiting for those replacements. I bought these for my daughter’s wedding. I bought dishes from Phaltzgraff about 15 years ago and didn’t have any issues. They are beautiful dishes, but the company needs to have better shipping standards. The way all my daughters stuff came is unacceptable."
