"Plates are functional, but were purchased based on appearance on website. Plates I received showed poor workmanship in reproducing design expected - what I ended up with looks more like an impressionist interpretation of the design. Fuzzy outlines and very little of the defining brown to make the design approach what was expected. I purchased setting for 4 at the same time and the luncheon plate design in that set was of similar subpar quality. Lesson learned about purchasing online, though I thought I could trust quality of items from Pfaltzgraff website"

Pretty but...
"I am a mother of three, 48 years old. This is my 4th set of Pfaltzgraff dishes. I began my Pzaltzgraff love back with the Ocean Breeze series I received on my registry over 23 years ago. My next couple of sets equally as satisfied with. In fact, the only reason for my recent new purchase is because my last set is no longer in production for replacement pieces. If you have this history, stop, these dishes are Mikasa. The heavy duty stoneware you are used to, are not these. The paint adhesion to the plates to give them the stoneware feel, are not these. The teal color of the dishes are very pretty. The salad plate design however is light blue, heads up to that. If you purchase and do not like, it is on your dime to pay for shipment back. If there are pot marks where the paint did not quite smooth across the dishes and instead left a small mark without paint, they will not replace. I have three chipped and/or scratched plates...right now I am playing, yes they are damaged, please replace them in email. The dinner plate is slightly smaller than previous sets, which I actually like. Even my teenager commented on how light these plates were upon emptying the dishwasher. Fingers crossed that does not equate to easy breakage."

"I am pleased with the quality of the dishes set but I looked at the different pictures and the last one showed light blue dishes. It is teal color not even close to blue in reality."
Shipping a Gift
"I was really worried about ordering these dishes due to having them shipped. They are a gift and the last thing I wanted was to have them arrive broken or chipped. No worries, they were packed so well that I think someone would have had to drop kick them to break or chip one. I opened each packed box and checked every dish and they were all perfect. So Happy!"
Beautiful
"Beautiful dishes and great quality. There are a few imperfections, but nothing too obvious or unforgivable, and expected with stoneware. I wish there was an option to skip the mugs and get serving dishes instead; however, I purchased fully knowing I would end up with mugs that wouldn’t get used."
Not too happy with new quality
"The previous set I purchased was heavy, and you could feel the quality in it. This set I am a bit disappointed, as it feels cheap and easily breakable in comparison to my previous set, and the dinner plate looks smaller than before."

"I bought this online and am disappointed in the coloring. It is not as bright as it appears online, it’s more of a dull green color. The pattern would be a lot nicer with cleaner/crisp lines. Customer support was good for replacing the items that arrived damaged. The quality seems good. This set is from Mikasa, another brand under the parent company - check the Mikasa website before buying for pricing. I did not feel this was clearly disclosed on the website. I thought I was buying pfaltzgraff"
