"My new Village dinnerware set is very nice on its own but compared to my older set that was made in the U. S. A. it is lacking. The new plates are smaller than the original so they don't stack perfectly now. The design is slightly faded compared to the original set I own. Really wish they would still make them in the U. S. The quality was a little better. But overall still pleased with them."

"I am not happy with how much brown glaze has come off during routine washing in the dishwasher. All the dark brown rings on this set no longer exist. Also, the dinner plate and the cereal bowl are too small."

"We are very happy with the quality and feel of the stoneware dishes. We recommend getting the Luncheon Plates and Deep Soup Cereal Bowls, too. The Salad Plates and Soup Cereal Bowls are small but nice to have. My brother-in-law and his wife have been using their Pfaltzgraff dishes for almost 50 years and they still look great!"

BEWARE! of size
"Please be aware of the size of the salad plate and cereal bowls that are included in the SET. The size of the salad plates and cereal bowls are VERY small. They are way smaller than the picture appears. The included salad plates are so small it just fits a piece of toast with not much room to spare. I couldn't imagine even trying to eat a salad on it. Same with the cereal bowl. It is more like a side vegetable bowl. I would've been better off ordering each item separately not in the set as I have to order bigger bowls now anyways and spend more money. I can't afford to buy the bigger side plates now and nor do I need that many different sizes, so this is quite disappointing to me. I did pay close attention to the size of plates but should've looked closer at the so-called cereal bowls as 10 oz. I'll give it 2 stars for beauty and color. I even read reviews before my purchase so I hope my review will help someone else as this was a pretty big disappointment. The company should be putting the average size bowls and bigger side plates in the set not the super small ones that they do put in the set."
