"I grew up with Pfaltzgraff. The dishes that we had were quality stoneware. The only reason that they were replaced at all in my childhood was that Mom got tired of the pattern after a decade or so. Now that my son is starting out on his own, I wanted to give him something nice that would last for a long time. This dish set was okay, but nothing like the Pfaltzgraff that I grew up with. They'll serve their purpose, but aren't anything special. You will probably be able to find dishes of similar quality at Walmart. A bit disappointing."
