Nothing bad enough to warrant a return
"We received our 3 boxes of Pierce Blue 16 Piece Dinnerware (12 place settings) in mostly good condition. One box was ripped where the dinner plates were in the box, but no damage evident. As we unpacked and inspected each dish, it appeared that every dinner plate had a slight "pimple" in the finish, raised a little, and darker than the rest of the plate. It wasn't enough of a defect for us to send them all back and wait for another shipment. One of the bowls also has a defect on the darker rim, with no color in that spot. We like the shape of the bowls, and the sizes of the dinner plates, dessert/salad plates and the mugs."
Pretty but heavy
"Attractive. A lot heavier than I’d hoped. The bowls are a nice size and shape. So are the mugs. The bottoms of the plates have rough areas that scratch the glaze of the plates below when stacked. I don’t know how long these are going to last, have only had for a couple of weeks."

"These are very, very lovely deep, dark, dusky(?) blue (not navy blue). I love the how the plates have no wide rim. The sides are slightly rounded up, which helps food stay on the plate. The bowls have a great shape, too; utensils move around really well with the shape/well of the bowl...no hard "sides" to try to scrape up & out. Mugs are more modern shape which I like; very comfortable to hold, wrap my hand around. As far as shipping/packaging: fast shipping, but packaging needs to be greatly improved. 2 mugs were broken when I received my order. The dinnerware set is packed tightly in a small box (with cardboard around each set of mugs, plates, bowls), but no additional cushioning or outside box to set inside...so they are at the mercy of the trucks and handlers. Pfaltzgraff was awesome, though. They responsed swiftly and sent me an entire place setting to replace the mugs. Awesome, right? However, when I received the replacement setting, all 4 dinner plates were broken. I was so sad (I would have enjoyed the "extra" dinner plates), but at least I have the mugs to replace the broken ones from the original shipment. I love this dinnerware so much and hope they can figure out the packing problem. I am very happy I purchased these. I think this set would go with many decorating styles/themes. They are really quite perfect for me. The dinnerware is 5++ stars for me, packaging knocked off a star (or 2)."
