Made In China Version Is Not Identical To Original
"After years of use and several broken pieces I was going to make the decision to replace my Ocean Breeze dishes with Fiestaware but changed my mind when I saw that OB was still being sold by Pfaltzgraff. I ordered the pieces I needed and even added the speckled bowl set to freshen things up. I never even thought to look that these pieces weren't made in the USA. In "the China sequel", the color banding is more narrow and not identical in color than the original. I understand age and wear but the original coloring has more teal and sea glass green undertones where this version is more cobalt blue, emerald green and army green. You can see in my pictures the new salad plate is positioned on top of the original colored dinner plate. Besides not matching, I appreciated the classic embossed brand of the original but these just have a black ink stamp with a made in China sticker."

"I have complete sets of ocean breeze from when they were made in the US. The feel is different, the sound is different, and they just feel cheap compared to those older ones. It seems to me that they could be made in China with the original recipe?"

Beware - the set does
"Beware - the set does not match the original set of Ocean Breeze dishes manufactured in 1990s. I bought mine in 1995 . . . fast forward these dishes are no ta vanilla color - they are a gray- clay."
