Village
Dinner Plate
The Village pattern has a classic Early American look that has remained popular for many years, and continues as a strong decorating style today. The most important piece of your dinnerware set! Not just for dinner, but also as a smaller serving plate or charger under a soup bowl. 10 1/4" dia.

Had these dishes in the 80's. Lost them in a divorce. Bought them again in 2005. Love them still. Probably even more - and guess what? I saw a Village bowl in a recent episode of Ghost Adventures!!! How cool is that? Classic, classic Early American pattern.

Rated 3 out of 5 by retired1 I love this pattern but it doesn't hold up well for me.
I went back to the Village dishes last November. I had some packed away but my plates had silverware marks and crazing so I ordered new plates. They also get silverware marks and as I clean the marks off, the dark brown pattern gets lighter and almost goes away. This was my second set of plates in less than a year. I had 6 that we used frequently that were very faded so I purchased new and packed the faded ones in the garage. I love this pattern and hope the dark brown will not fade on the 7 news ones that I purchased.

We've been searching for quality dishes and have only seemed to find very poor imitations. A friend led us to Pfaltzgraff with a hearty endorsement and she was absolutely right! We chose the Village pattern and it is visually appealing to everyone, durable, dishwasher safe, and has been complimented each time we've shared a meal with guests.
