I've returned the salad plate as I feel the "dull" finish was not compatible with the rest of the set.

This set was a gift. The product arrived in a flimsy & damaged box and was only bubble-wrapped. I did not realize that the pattern on this set is a DECAL. The DECAL on the soup/cereal bowls were crooked and the pattern didn't match up at the seams. The blue salad plate had an odd finish-different from the dinner plate. Customer service told me it was a "rough finish". It looks cheap and dull. The colors of different dishes do not seem to match each other at all. Wanted to return them but shipping would cost as much the product itself. So disappointed in the quality of product coming out of Pfaltzgraff now.

by Toni LOVE my Villa della Luna dishes
These blue salad plates are a wonderful compliment to the service of 16 I purchased. The colors are vibrant and cheerful. I purchased 8 of these and 8 of the yellow salad plates to go with the 8 gold embossed dinner plates and the 8 blue banded dinner plates. These salad plates are just the right size for a dinner side salad or a sandwich and side for lunch. The shape of these plates adds interest to the table settings. I only wish these were made in the USA but they are heavy weight stoneware and high quality.

When I first bought the Villa della Luna pattern, it coame with the plain yellow salad plates and I didn't care for them much. So I ordered the blue plates seperately and they make sucha great difference in the setting. They liven up the rest of the set. The shape, the coloring and the style are just lovely. Have been collecting pfaltzgraff for years and this is my favorite pattern.
