Rated 2 out of 5 by Patticakes10392 I love the Tea Rose Pattern and scalloped edges I love the Tea Rose pattern and was surprised to find out that my sister had the same dishes. I noticed that there were imperfections in the pattern as well as the brightness of color in the roses and leaves etc. Also the glaze on the dishes were spotty and in some cases the backing was not stamped on all dishes. I noticed that where they set on the base was not coated with glaze and if a dish sat for a while it could soak up bacteria or if the glaze wasn't completely coated bacteria could get into the stoneware and start growing, is that the grey spots you are talking about? One of my old dishes became infected when it had a crack in it and I sat it outside for a plant dish. I am very disappointed because I wanted to replace some of my broken dishes and am disappointed now in the quality. I think the price doesn't reflect the value and should be lowered more than it is. Rated 1 out of 5 by jjabi QUALITY HAS REALLY SUFFERED Since the original makers of Pfaltzgraff sold the company, and the dishes became an imported product, the quality has steadly gone down. The newer dishes aren't even as heavy as the older dishes. I've owned Tea Rose for over 35 years, so long that my sets came with tea cups and saucers instead of mugs. I also own hundreds of add on pieces. It's really sad when a much loved product is changed to the point of being "discount house" quality. September 14, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by tam10 not what it use to be I have had this pattern for over 20 yrs. I think it is beautiful and love all the accessories that go with it. I have to say though, that the quality has declined. A previous buyer commented on the gray marks on hers...my older dishes have no gray marks, but the newer ones do. I just got 2 baking dishes in June and they have accessive marking on them already. It's almost as though they don't have a protective glaze/coating on them as the old ones do. They even have a different texture/feel to them...they're not shiny as my older ones are. The Bar Keepers product should only need to be used very occassionally, not after each use...but I'm finding that if I don't want the gray marks, I have to use it each time. I've always loved pfaltzgraff, but am saddened that it's not the quality that it use to be. I have daughters that will be looking for a kitchen pattern and sadly I'm not sure that I would recommend this brand of dinnerware due to it's declining quality. September 5, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by dotsden Beautiful pattern and shape I have wanted this set since it came out. I finally have it. I love it but it has one flaw! The dinner plates are full of grey marks from eating utensils, I have only had this set a few months. July 27, 2012
