This recipe is the perfect salad to celebrate autumn. Substitute the produce you find locally to create a delicious farm-to-table appetizer or meal!

Harvest Salad



  • Locally Grown Mixed Greens
  • 1 Sliced Apple
  • 1/3 Cup Chopped Walnuts


  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons minced shallots
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 2 tsp local honey
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Thoroughly rinse and pat dry the mixed salad greens. Combine salad greens, apple, and walnuts in serving plate. Combine all ingredients for dressing in a small bowl. Whisk until fully combined into an emulsion. Top salad with dressing immediately before serving.
