Carols Apple Crisp

Carol's Apple Crisp


  • 6 to 8 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and quartered
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1⁄4 cup butter stick, softened
  • cinnamon


Place apples in a 2-qt. casserole. Sift dry ingredients into bowl.

Add 1 egg, unbeaten. Mix well to form crumbs. Sprinkle ingredients over top of apples. Dot with butter and sprinkle liberally with cinnamon.

Bake at 350º for 1 hour. Serves 12.
