Carol's Apple Crisp
- 6 to 8 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and quartered
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1⁄4 cup butter stick, softened
Place apples in a 2-qt. casserole. Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
Add 1 egg, unbeaten. Mix well to form crumbs. Sprinkle ingredients over top of apples. Dot with butter and sprinkle liberally with cinnamon.
Bake at 350º for 1 hour. Serves 12.
