Rated 4 out of 5 by thewylddream Very attractive set. I have a large collection of Patio Garden. I love the sage green and cornflower blue colors. They look great in a kitchen with yellow oak counters. I have had the main part of my set for 4 years and it's great. Do they chip? Yep. I have a few pieces with tiny chips. The Pfaltzgraff customer service team has been excellent about helping me replace them. In the end I decided that if it is smaller than three millimeters I don't care. It doesn't affect the appearance of the piece. I wash my pieces in the dishwasher and I don't baby them. They don't crack or break. Just occasional, rarely I will find a tiny chip and if it bothers me I replace the piece. I have had to do this maybe twice in 4 years. Mostly the bowls are what have this issue. I have had no issues with the coffee mugs. I haven't noticed any on the plates. They are solidly made and heavy and not great for microwave cooking. Which is to say the plate gets hot LONG before your food will. That doesn't stop us though. We microwave with them all the time. I own several different types of bowls, plates, mugs, platters, trays, pitchers, gravy boat ect. I love it. I would give it 4 stars but it is HEAVY and it can occasionally chip. Otherwise I highly recommend it. August 19, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Momof3kids These dishes have a beautiful pattern but are not durable I used to have the ocean breeze pattern and thought that this pattern would be just as durable. I was sadly mistaken, Within one year of use, approximately half of my plate have chips in the rims. (My dishwasher is only a year old). They are supposed to be microwave safe but the dishes heat up more than the food on them. Beware - I burned my fingers removing a mug of hot chocolate from the microwave! Yes, you get a discount if you order new pieces to replace broken ones but I can't afford to replace everyone that chips! December 8, 2012
