we had this set for 2 weeks and 7 of the dishes chipped. Don't waste your money on pfaltzgraff unless it is stoneware dishes. you have less than 30 days to return the complete set. If this was a stoneware set it would have been perfect. very disapointed

I have a set of Pfaltzgraff Christmas dishes that are more than 20 years old without chips or broken pieces. They are used daily for about 6 weeks a year. I have three children the youngest is 12. When I decided to replace my everyday dishes I looked for several years before I chose this pattern. I like my dishes full of color and variety - not easy to find. I think the pattern is unique and beautiful so I am very sad that the dishes chip and crack easily. I wanted to have these dishes for years, but I think I will be lucky to have 5 of my 16 place settings in 5 years. Please do not waste your money on this beautiful, but worthless pattern. I am on year three right now.

I have the same experience as everyone else. Within the first couple of months owning a service for 8 in this pattern, I had 3 bowls and 1 plate chip. The bowls are chipped on the rim on the outside, and the plates are chipped on the top at the edge. But I have now owned these plates for 3 years and only one more plate has chipped.
Customer service was great when I had 2 bowls delivered broken. They replaced them right away with minimal hassle.
Overall, don't buy unless you don't mind chipped dishes.

I have had these dishes for over 3 years now and they still are holding up. despite what others have put I have had no chipping or cracking. They are a beautiful pattern. I use them everyday.

I bought this set & it almost immediately started chipping. Do not buy this. The pattern is pretty but it just won't hold up.

Do not purchase this dinner ware. It chips along the rim when it is put into the dishwasher. All the pieces chip very easily with everyday use. The pattern is nice but this set is not worth the money if it doesn't hold up to everyday use.

This is a gorgeous pattern, but the stoneware chips badly and breaks quite easily. Several pieces were broken or cracked when I received my initial shipment. Before I received my replacements, many more were chipped. These are being chipped in fairly standard use with no small children in the house, but regular dishwasher use.
In contrast my "mystic" pattern is still holding up quite nicely under the same conditions - and this is what I had planned to replace with the Patio Garden.
Unless you are a family of 1 who never bumps or stacks dishes - don't buy this pattern.
