I used to have the ocean breeze pattern and thought that this pattern would be just as durable. I was sadly mistaken, Within one year of use, approximately half of my plate have chips in the rims. (My dishwasher is only a year old). They are supposed to be microwave safe but the dishes heat up more than the food on them. Beware - I burned my fingers removing a mug of hot chocolate from the microwave! Yes, you get a discount if you order new pieces to replace broken ones but I can't afford to replace everyone that chips!
