Rated 5 out of 5 by Earthy beige is translucent As one reviewer mentioned, the center of the place mat is translucent, and you can indeed see the tabletop through the "beige" portion of the mat. I feel the company could do a better job with the description on the web site, but this was not a problem for me. I use these on a kitchen table with a white tile top, so it blends in perfectly. The colors are also muted and not rich and shiny as they appear on the web site, but I found that an improvement in the appearance. The nice thing about Painted Poppies is that they compliment the Kayla patter which has no accessories available. Kayla looks almost the same except the color of the flowers is, I think, a little more vibrant and the flowers are a slightly different design. The contrast of the serving pieces of Painted Poppies is a nice effect. December 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pfaltzgraff placemats This product is beautiful, the only problem is they slide off the table but I found something to stop that and am enjoying their beauty. April 6, 2013
