Three ridges are sculpted into the rim of the dinnerware, each holding a single shade, creating a dramatic evolution of color. 32 piece service for eight. I haven't had the problems with this dinnerware that others have mentioned. I use it in a condo nightly rental I own, and it's been in there several years. The condo gets a lot of use, and this dinnerware is holding up beautifully. I love it!

We like the Ocean Breeze pattern but maintaining the white on the plates is a full time job. Plates, cups, bowls mark up from knifes, forks and spoons and leave marks on the white portion of the dishes which have to be constantly cleaned. Also the glaze on the inside of the bowls is cracking and staining. Would not recommend a white dish due to discoloration and marking.
