These bowls are the perfect size for individual pasta meals, stews or salads, and we also find ourselves using them as side serving bowls. The bottom is a pretty textured brown, and the top has a blue and taupe design. I purchased these bowls to be a companion to the Mikasa Gourmet Basic dish set, and I think they give a nice interest when setting a table. The quality is superior, I think these bowls will last a long time!

What a bargain for such a beautiful pasta bowl! These are perfect for whatever pasta is being served as a main dish. I also picked up the mocha luncheon plates to go with this (they work great for salad and slice of bread), chargers (beautiful for making a more formal look), bali blue serving pieces and the centerpiece in ivory. The set is just wow and what a bargain. These handle very well in the dishwasher and microwave too.

I really love these large shallow dishes that fall somewhere between a plate and a bowl... I can't think of anything "saucy" they wouldn't be perfect for... Chili, Mac&Cheese, Noodle casseroles, etc...

I have started using these bowls for everything. They are the perfect size for so many things and at the sale price they can't be beat! Easy to clean and BEAUTIFUL!
