I wouldn't recommend this UNLESS you are planning on hand washing these and NOT using them in the microwave! Supposedly these are dishwasher and microwave safe... I've been using them for a few years but about a year after I purchased them the clear coat started bubbling and peeling off! One plate even cracked in the microwave & it was only in there for a minute! The glasses cracked in the dishwasher, they didn't leak but looked horrible! Don't waste your money!!

I ordered these dishes to use as everyday dinnerware. So, far they are working out great. I loved the fact they offer a wide selection of melamine ware.
