I bought my service for 12 one and half years ago. The reason I chose Pfaltzgraff was their reputation. I have a chip or two on the edges,and have recently noticed chips in the finish on the surface of the dishes. I also have cracks showing up that don't go all the way through, but because they are on the eating surface I know the dishes are no longer sanitary to use. These were my first Pfaltzgraff dishes. Not sure I'd try this brand again.

I agree with the other reviewers. These dishes do chip easily. I had 12 coffee mugs and I am down to 8 due to the handles breaking off. The past dish sets that I had from Pfaltzgraff seemed to be much more durable.

These are beautiful dishes, and I absolutely love the pattern, but I have never had dishes that break this easily. Even china is more durable. I've had numerous mugs that the handles just fell right off. I started hand washing the dishes but that doesn't seem to be much better. Several plates have chipped. I will be unfortunately looking for another pattern because I don't think this set will last much longer. It is disintegrating.

I love the look of this dinnerware for my kitchen. HOWEVER, they have what appears to be grey marks all over the plates from stacking in the cupboard. They haven't chipped tho....just marked up. Very disappointing!

I love the look of these dishes. I think the pattern is beautiful. The dinner dishes are slightly larger than my old (Pfaltzgraff) dishes and they do not fit in my dishwasher. I have had my dishes for 6 months now and several of the smaller dishes have already chipped. They don't seem as near as durable as my old dishes. I have had the old dishes for almost 15 years and I have more chips in my new dishes after just 6 months.
