I used these just tonight, as a matter of fact! Pfaltzgraff has missed the mark on the description of these bowls. I use them all the time, but have yet to use them for soup. I normally prefer a deeper bowl for soup. I use them for garden salads, I serve vegetables and side dishes in them, they make wonderful hot or cold cereal bowls, and when I think of other uses for them, I'll let you know!
