I bought this pattern because I LOVED the colors and the rooster motif. I read some reviews after the fact that left me concerned that the quality wasn't going to be there. So far, I haven't had any issues with items chipping easily. The plates are oversized so I wish I knew that when I fell in love with them but I found a convenient place to keep them and didn't have to return them.
The soup/cereal bowls are huge as well in relation to the teeny tiny ones in my old set which were horrible so I really like that these have some depth to them. Storing them is a pain because I can only stack one on top of the other.
I hand wash and use the dishwasher. This is our new set for the kitchen to match after a remodel. I am buying the regular Napoli set as well to round out the service for 12. I bought the platters, serving bowls, rooster cookie jar, pitcher, sugar bowl, creamer and salt / pepper shakers. They look GREAT in my kitchen on display. I can't say enough about the colors. My kitchen is a caramel color with traditional cherry with caramel glazed cabinets. I will post a pic one day of how great these look on our table. Makes meal time so much nicer!
I am giving this a 4 because I'm not sure how these will hold up after a year. The last set I had was indestructible but UGLY in my new kitchen. It totally did not match in the new kitchen. So I hope these hold out the same way. If they do I will give these a 5 for sure -- especially since I have two sons -- one 5 the other 4 and I don't plan on buying new dishes for the kitchen until they are out of the house.
