I wasn't expecting much since it's pretty cheap; it's cute but I'm glad I got it as a "stocking stuffer" type of gift. It is clearly hand-painted and while it looks great from a distance, it looks a little less than great up close (the lines around the edges - the two circles - are not very clean or nice). The raised design is nicely painted though and I'm sure the recipient will love it. For the clearance price, it's definitely a cute additive for someone who loves this collection.
