Based on the photos I saw online, I thought the colors on this placemat would be jewel-toned. I ordered the placemats for a relative to use on top of a cranberry-colored tablecloth. However, the colors on the placemats were disappointingly dark and muddy in tone. I do want to recognize Pfaltzgraff for providing a couple of special offers that helped me get the price down and for shipping the placemats quickly.
