The bowls/inserts were in perfect condition. They will be useful in so many ways:for condiments, salad toppings, and dips to name a few. I bought 3 sets and am happy that I did!!

Have had two sets of these for over a year now, with no problems. Great for offering choices for everything from salad dressings to dips, or break up the set for individual servings of melted butter or whatever. Rack makes service easy and set looks great on a coffee, dinner, or buffet table. Love that guests usually do return the individual bowls back to the rack for easy find for everyone else - a simple thing, but makes a difference in buffet meal serving.
While I have received other Winterberry pieces that were chipped, both of these sets arrived in perfect condition, so don't think the problem is a characteristic of the bowls themselves, but rather the packer, as jamming against the rack would certainly chip them in transit.

It came in chipped. They replaced it with a new set. One of the bowls came in chipped again. I didn't bother telling them for the second time.
