I know now why this dinnerware has no additional serveware; you don't need it. The plates are a full 11 inches in diameter and could easily serve as platter/chop plates. The bowls are large and deep enough to be vegetable/fruit bowls; just get a few extra plates and bowls and you are all set. I love the coffee cups too. They are large enough to keep from having to get up from the table during the meal for refills. And last but not least, the grape/vineyard design makes for such a warm and festive table. I spent weeks searching for a high quality, heavy duty, everyday vineyard pattern and I always came back to Pfaltzgraff; I love this dinnerware and you will too.
