The embossed dinner plate (formerly referred to as a chop plate), and blue salad plate where shown on one of the web sites pics when I first ordered my 12piece ps of Villa Della Luna, I have always wanted at least one of each. I would watch them come and go on the VDL inventory, I am so glad this pattern within the pattern is back! I have always loved my blue rimmed dinner plates, but these are so beautiful it is hard for me to choose which to use each night at dinner. Very lovely! Very rich quality.

I purchased a total of a service for 16. I got 8 of these gold embossed beautiful plates and 8 of the blue banded plates as well as salad plates, bowls and serving platters. I wanted dishes that I could use everyday as well as for company and these are IT!! I love that I can mix and match the different pieces which creates a stunning table as well as compliments my lighted clear glass door cabinets. The embossed plates are just beautiful. They are also heave weight and seem very strong. I'm delighted with my Villa della Luna dishes!! I only wish they were made in the USA.
