While substantial, the pieces aren't as thick and heavy as my 30-year-old Pfaltzgraff dinnerware. This makes loading the dishwasher much easier. I also like the pattern - it's a nice combination of colors that complements my hand-painted Italian and Polish stoneware. February 6, 2013
