Many years ago (15) when my husband and I married, I put the April pattern on our gift registry. We received many pieces as gifts and up until this past year we had use this pattern daily.
Almost immediately after using we started to notice marring or grazing on the surface of the dinner plates and soup bowls. We thought wow, do we really scratch our silverware into the plates and bowls that hard. Well the answer is no.
My in laws also have Pfaltzgraff dishes and the same exact thing happened to their pattern. When we contacted customer service they told us about a dish polish that we could use with a soft cloth to remove the graying marks on the dishes. Customer Service's suggestion worked however I do not have time to clean each individual dish at least once a week and don't feel I should have to.
This is my only hesitation of purchasing this beautiful replacement pattern is the additional work I will need to do to keep the gray silverware marks away.
I would like your honest reviews on the surface of these dishes before I purchase this pattern.

I love these dishes!!! They are my every day set and the are perfect. My only issue is that I want a matching butter dish, creamer, sugar bowl,gravy boat and a platter that's big enough for a turkey. The platter offered isn't quite big enough. Thanks a lot, but lets get this other stuff to make my set complete.... PLEASE!!!

The rustic leaves pattern is everything i had hoped for nice enough for the holidays and sturdy enough for everyday use.

I received my dishes last week. They are beautiful. The packing however was inconsistent and two bowls were broken. I ordered a few serving pieces and the platter was packed beautifully and the two vegetable bowls had only one piece of cardboard, that's it. Same with the fruit bowls. No extra packaging. Shouldn't be a problem because they are replacing them. Some of the plates have a break in the painted leaves. I don't know if that is considered a flaw or not. We are having our kitchen remodeled and I don't plan on using them till it's done in early 2014. I do think they are very pretty and they will coordinate really nicely with my new kitchen.

LOVE this pattern. We had Yorktowne for over 20 years and we were ready for a change. These dishes are gorgeous. I can't wait until different pieces are made of Rustic Leaves. LOVE THEM!!

This is exactly what I was looking for. The plates feel solid but are not too heavy. The bowls are perfectly sized for our family and just have a great feel to them. They are better looking then the image shows.

This set has vibrant leaves all the way around the plates, bowls, and cups. Although the picture of the set is very pretty, it is nothing like it when you see it out of the box. Astoundingly beautiful!

These pictures don't do this set justice. They are absolutely gorgeous. If I were to change anything, it would be the size of the bowls. They are ginormous. I do hope they come out with some serving pieces.
